Aims & Objects :

The trustees shall recover and receive the income of the trust and pay the cost of realization and other expenses for carrying out the trust there of and apply the residue of such income for the promotion of social, educational, medical relief, relief of poor and advancement of any other objects of general public utility as relate to anything to be done as defined under the Income Tax Act, 1961 and The Bombay Public Trust Act, 1950 as amended from time to time and in such manner and in such proportions as the trustees may in their absolute direction think fit.

Trustees shall, each year or from time to time apply the residue of the income or trust fund or any part or parts of the trust fund in or towards any or more of the following objects without any distinction of caste, creed, community and religion.

• Social Service
• Education
• Medical Relief, Medical Education and research
• Relief of the poor or distressed
• Promotion of social and economic welfare and the upliftment of the community
• Advancement of any other objects of general public utility
• Without in any way limiting the generality of the foregoing objects or purposes but always in conformity with the said objects, the objects of the trust shall be deemed to include
  
  
  • Production and promotion of Environmentally Friendly Fibres Fabrics and other products made out of natural materials like cotton, silk, wool and others.
  • Production and promotion of hand spun, hand woven craft of fabric making and other related practices of converting natural raw materials into fabrics.
  • Conduct and promote research into producing organic cotton suitable to eco-friendly fabrics.
  • To develop an R & D centre to improve, develop existing hand spinning tools, weaving tools and techniques, its testing methods and create various standardized grades of fabrics.
  • To develop all processes of cloth making, dying and processing free of harmful chemical and promote use of organic and environment friendly colours and chemicals.
  • To work for upliftment of the poor and marginal farmers and to give them enough opportunities of income generation and support. Assist them in improving their basic needs of food, water, shelter, health and education.
  • To promote new generation of Khadi in its new context in our country and abroad.
